Pro: No-brainer: activate and show your money blowing and installs growing.

Contra: No return on investment for apps with one-time costs. Bad conversion rates (sales).

Blog marketing

Pro: Downloads and good conversion rates (sales) for free.

Contra: Finding suitable blogs and get your app reviewed consumes a lot of time

Paid Reviews

Pro: Um.. none.

Contra: I tried AndroidTapp (now BlueStacks) – it had no effect at all. If your app is good, you will don’t have to pay to be reviewed.

Conclusion

At the end it’s all about trust. Successful, trustworthy blogs have the largest impact of all methods listed above. They don’t have to focus on Android apps, their audience have to match your target users.
